Previously I wrote about attracting a romantic partner.  So let's say that you found the person. Now what?  The best thing to do is to approach the relationship with a giving mindset.  When most people enter into relationships, they usually wonder what they can get out of the relationship.  On the contrary, you should approach the relationship with, "what can I give?"  In the beginning you are getting to know each other and enjoying the early stages of dating. Enjoy that! Don't over analyze and just enjoy yourself.  Be yourself and open up.  Did that hit a chord?  Open up! Yes, don't be afraid.  When I first started dating my now husband, I chose to be brave and told him about where I was in my life and what I was looking for.  Not an ultimatum, just gave him information of where I was emotionally and mentally, and let him decide if he wanted to be a part of it. I was scared to share this with him because I thought, if he's not in the same place, I can lose him.  Thankfully he was open to what I had to say and we continued dating. 

We all have a past and it can always be scary to open up to a person.  Let's say the person you're dating is not in the same place. Wouldn't it be better to find out early and part ways so that you can find the person that is truly meant to be with you? 

So be fearless, open up, and enjoy the process. You have nothing to lose and only love to gain! 

Happy September, everyone! I'm so happy to be writing again... it's been a busy couple of months. I have been fortunate to meet new people this year and enjoy listening to their stories, their goals, and coach them to new heights! One theme remains prevalent through: relationships! So I thought I'd write about my experience in this arena. This is what worked for me. At the end of the day, you have to be true to yourself and do what feels right, not what any book, rules, or person tell you to do. 

There are several areas to relationships so I thought I'd split up this blog into a few posts. So this first one will focus on attraction. 

Looking back now, I see how I was in a true state of surrender.  Many women tell me that they are ready for relationships and are really putting themselves out there, yet can't seem to meet the right man. I truly believe that in order to meet "the one" you need to be in a space of surrender. What does this mean, you ask  It doesn't mean you give up, rather, you release all the energy that you have been putting in to trying so hard.  Surrender your desire to the Universe, and the right person will truly find their way into your life, and you to theirs. It means you should go out with your friends and not spend an drop of energy thinking... Maybe I'll meet "the one" tonight.  Go out, enjoy life. Don't think about HOW you will meet this person.  Instead, you can just trust that the Universe has your back. When your energy is calm, confident, and happy... trust me, the right person will appear! When my husband and I look back at the space we were in when we met, we both see how we were in a space of surrender. He was enjoying life, he was going out, and he never really gave too much thought to meeting anyone. In fact, he had already somewhat resigned himself to be truly happy being single for the rest of his life. We were both very happy being single and were never expecting to meet anyone, let alone get married! We were in the same space in life and we energetically attracted each other.  Skeptical? Well.... my husband and I had actually met in passing a year prior, but we were both in very different places in our lives. We never connected and our paths did not cross again until the following year when we met (again) and began dating. 

You can't plan this, so just let it to, stop trying, and LIVE.

I am so thrilled to announce Meditation Circles and Workshops.  I will have a free Meditation Circle at my house on July 15th from 6:30-8:00pm. From August forward I will schedule these every first Wednesday of the month at 6:30-8:00pm.  These will remain free for this year. 

Once a month on Saturday I will also have a Workshop. This will be $15-$20 per person. They will be held from 8:30-10:00a.m.  We will begin with a meditation, then connect everyone's energy. I will provide Spirit Messages (about 3-5 minutes each person) and possibly include a topic of discussion. I may even have a special guest join us here and there to provide insight and have a Q&A. Lately I've been hit up a lot for relationship and communication advice, so I may include those in the first couple months. I have very much been enjoying all the talks this year! It is not too late to sign up for the Hay House World Summit 2015.  What is it? It's about 100 talks, each about 1 hour, from top experts in several subject areas like: Archangels, health, meditation, Tapping, Spiritual Guidance, Inspiration Speakers, etc... the list goes on! I've been listening to these talks with pen and paper and writing down some of my epiphanies, and even taking notes of great meditations. I'd love to hear about your favorite talks! 

The workshop we had was a great success! Our workshop attendees definitely felt Spirit within the group. We enjoyed some oil education by Kym, then I stepped in and went into meditation and group work. We had a great time, and I also had a few people afterwards enjoy short private readings. Definitely positive vibes all day.

One of the lessons that jumps out at me as of the last couple of months is "be with..."  So many times, I want to help and fix and assist people in moving forward, I forget to "be with." So what does this mean?  To me this means that I get to sit with someone and I get to be with them. I get to be sad with them, I get to be happy with them, I get to be frustrated with them. I don't fix, I don't rationalize, I don't suggest, I don't help... I get to be with.  By being with someone, I get to make their story about them, not about me. When I try to help or give advice, I am now changing the focus of their story to me and whatever my subconscious needs might be.  I know I am probably not the only one that does this at times. It's definitely difficult to be with; however, if you become aware of the situation, and the needs of the person you realize that this is about what they need. And nine times out of ten, the person needs you to "be with" them. Simple as that. 

I've really cemented this lesson lately because of my husband. He's had cancer for some years, and there are times when he is not feeling so great. It pains me to see him go through a tough time so I offer tea, I offer head rubs, I offer special treats, I try to do whatever I can to ease his processes. When I finally looked outside of myself, I saw that everything I was trying to do for him, would satisfy ME, not necessarily him. So I stopped offering and stopped trying to help. Instead, I will now just sit with him on the couch while he feels ill, and hold his hand, or hold him. That's it. I don't say anything, I don't do anything for him (unless he asks), I am just with him. Simple. And that's all he needs really, he just wants me to sit next to him and hold him and be quiet.  Sitting in silence together, or just sitting next to him as he sleeps allows him to feel safe. And it took me all this time to finally realize that all I had to do was "be with" him, and not try to make him feel better. He's great at letting me know what he needs, so I am just with him. And it's perfect. 

So go and "be with" someone in their time of need.  It might be exactly what they need! 

The I Can Dot It! conference was was amazing! I heard many wonderful speakers, and met great people.  One woman in particular I met - we just really bonded.  There are no coincidences in life, and I know that Jan and I met for a purpose.  We met on Friday at our Angel Reader Certification class. We hit it off from the get-go and had an amazing weekend. 

Through the weekend there were many seminars and speakers. Below are pictures from the whole weekend. And now, I can officially say I'm a Certified Angel Card Reader! Certified by Doreen Virtue herself!
